Just thought to share my flight bag

I can, without any doubt, say that I've never once used an E6B in a fighter or when planning a sortie in one.

I edited that post wrong. :)

The small e6b fits in the pocket of the small, fighter-pilot style kneeboard. It was what my CFI recommended I get when I started training. It's called "Ultimate Kneeboard."

Maybe it's just me but, I can't stand kneeboards. Back when I was just starting out I tried one out but found it got in the way and the writing space just to small. So, I got just a plane ol' 0.96 cent clip board. When you don't need it, under the seat or on the glare shield it goes. BTW, that is exactly what we use for our flightplan (howgozit) and North Atlantic plotting chart at SouthernJets. No reason to get too fancy.

Now, for local day VFR flights all you ever need is a headset and MAYBE a sectional. You'll overload yourself otherwise. The whole point of local flying is to hone your stick and rudder skills.

The coolest part of being an AF flyer. See where he unloaded his flight bag? Yeah, baby...the bar! Gotta have a good place to debrief, right?

That is exceptionally observant to see that. Was it the mug or the footrail that gave it away?

I added another item to my bag last night axe body spray and deoderant ever no when your gonna need it. Airplane smells bad enough especially in 100 degree temps to many people fly this aircraft and the BO is horrible.

So you WANT to smell like a hormonal teenage boy? :sarcasm:

Only if i could turn the clock back.

I think someone in our school has a bad case of BO but not sure who it is. I thought it was me so when I got home I had my wife sniff me and she said I smelled like cabbage and sausage, which is what I had the night before. BTW there's a huge difference in smell between farting and BO point being is fart go away and BO stays.

It was the nice wood...and the mug...and yep, the foot rail. We still don't have a bar in our squadron....what a travesty!!! I have NEVER been in a flying squadron without one!!!

What the heck? What kind of pilots are you! A real pilot bag has a few of these in there:
