Hey guys, I just registered, I've been lurking for about a year now. I really enjoy the site! I just got my 3rd class medical from the doc the other day. I am not sure what to do next. There are only a select few FBO's here in east texas...Nacogdoches area. I also got a # to a guy who does lessons. I am not sure what do do, what is the difference between taking lessons with a single person, as opposed to takining them at one of the schools at the local airport? Does it matter. Also some of these prices seemed high. here are the links to the prices and training. All advice is appreciated...I just want to get up in the air, and put a dent in the training before the summer is over. Thanks!

Ive already had 2 discovery flights! I know I want to fly. I am in college now, and will have a degree soon, I just want to get my private license, and then I will know later on whether or not to pursue further ratings.

Check out AirNav.com. Sometimes flight schools will have a listing there and hopefully people will leave comments about the place...good and bad. Remember, it's not ALL about price of the planes. Sometimes paying a higher price will give you a better experience than the cheaper place down the taxiway.

Or you could also take a peek at some of our sponsors. All of which passed the 'smell test' and held up to my covert army of 'secret shoppers'.

Well I have to stay in east tx untill I finish up school. I will definately look into all the sponsors when the time has come to move onto bigger things. I would like to get my PPL first though. Can some one please check out and give an honest opinion what they thought about these schools, I dont want to make the wrong decision. Too many Jokers on here!

I thought the first thing you do when you open a deck of cards is to remove the jokers....
