Dear JetCareers Friends`
I just got hired by Alaska Airlines as a Customer Service agent for Burbank airport. I will start training on June 20-th in Seattle. The training is fully paid along with hotel, flight and food accomedations. I am very happy at this exact moment because this is my first job in the aviation industry and I will get to know a lot of Alaska/Horizon pilots and who knows what can happen after this.
By the way they are flying me up to seattle next friday for one day to do some background check and fingerprinting, any heads up of what I should do over there to kill the extra time.

Congratulations! Maybe I'll be seeing you because I fly out of BUR every month or two on Alaska to go visit my parents up in Bellingham. The Horizon air people are great two. It seems like everyone knows each other, even the passengers, every time I've flown an early morning BLI-SEA flight.

Alaska is an awesome airline. They seem to have pretty good company morale over all. Again, congrats.

Congrats!

Word of advice on the customer service thing: When (not if) someone yells at you b/c the flight is delayed/cancelled/missed their connection/have to be charged more for overweight baggage/missed their flight b/c they got their late, remember it's nothing personal. Most of the time, they just to need to vent, and unfortunately you're a convenient target. Keep that in mind, and you'll keep most of your sanity.

Never flown Alaska, but I really enjoy Horizon.....IMO, the top regional out there.

as far as what to do in SEA, have you been there before? if not there are some pretty cool touristy things to do. Space needle, harbour tour, aquarium, Pikes market and such. if you do the space needle, check out the CityPass. it lets you do the space needle, harbour tour and the aquarium, and boeings museum of flight. it is possible to do all of this in one day if you plan it out right. hope this helps.
