Goodluck! My mom is a nurse in south Ventura County and she loves it. Any idea on what you're going to do with it (specialization?).

Get a couple years experience as an RN in the ER and then go be a flight nurse in the back of a choppa!

My old flight instructor is an RN on this board. Hoping he joins in on this conversation.

Good luck! :D I'm in the same boat. Just finished up my pre-reqs this past semester and started applying to nursing schools. Seems like everyone is doing it these days. I'd say over half the people in my classes had bachelor's degrees already (including me) and were going back to school to get into the medical field.

Have you checked out http://allnurses.com/ ? It's kind of the Jetcareers for nurses. :)

Cool. My mom did the ER thing for a while out of college (she went the bachelors in science nursing degree route), and she now works with a retina specialist.
