cute kids man. oh by the way is this the appropriate time to tell you that here in nyc it is in the low 60's? im sorry i couldnt resist. good luck with all of that snow.
 
Here in Vermont it is in the 50s and we are getting thunderstorms! We should be completely buried in snow right now and it is raining cats and dogs. I don't think that I have ever seen a thunderstorm in december.
 
It's been in the 40's/50's and sunny here in Arizona and the people out here are complaining it's too cold for them!
 
so cali, 70 and sunny like every other winter day. Need some snow on the San Gabriels though- I want to go skiing.
 
I know snow is a hassle, increases accidents, takes down power lines and yada yada ya, but...I still miss the snow. I also miss the smell of heaters, I've only used the house heater once in the last 10 months, on the flip side, I had to turn on my AC today! [/end ramble]

Van what is this? Its barely showing on the grown. I thought you people from OK just had some bad dandruff and your grass was always white? That was nothing, just wait until the real snow comes along this season!
 
Its KS not OK, and 16 inches is hardly a dusting. Even in Indiana.

This was very unusual, we usually only get 9 inches all year, let alone all at once.
 
Yeah I have no clue why i put OK! I knew it was Kansas! However perhaps you got spoiled last winter and therefore now you are being punished?
 
Doesn't top Christmas 2002, I was on the road driving truck and had a delivery in Schenectady, NY on Dec 26th. I stopped at the Travel Plaza on the NY Thruway there in Albany to camp out until the 26th. Well it proceeded to dump 31 inches on me, and I had such a fun time digging my truck out of that disaster. I was supposed to be home for Christmas but my company screwed me big time. Needless to say, I went home after that run and turned in my truck and told them #######s to pound sand. Had another job the next day and it ended up being the best place I have ever worked.
 
You missing that truck yet Van? Gosh I am now so not look foward to Winter this year. I think most of all is because I am going to try to get the IR done this winter in Indiana. That shall be interesting for sure.

Speaking of slacker, how are you gonna let that FAA dude punk you in the Oral? :sarcasm:

We have people at my school that soloed before I started training that still haven't done their private ride yet. You are moving along just fine, and Winter is a perfect time for instrument training. Just avoid that Ice. :)

I know i know man! Lol dude that was the Oral from HELL! Like seriously I'll have to call and inform you about it all. Oh well I still cannot believe the DE was like, "keep your money, you shouldnt have had to go through this" and basically admitted if the FAA guy wasnt there he'd have passed me. Oh lordy those FAA guys.... Anyone interested its posted in the Checkride under "Oral :(:

Oh and I'll pass this on Wednesday and then start IFR. Anyluck it looks like things are going to be alirght this winter. now i'm crossing my fingers!

You are fortunate. You just got a glimpse at what your CFI oral is going to be like. That is the straight up truth.

Well minus 200 hours I'm ready then! No in all seriousness its been a great learning experience and I'll do my best to bounce back ASAP.
