Some more info about CHQ and Shuttle:
Seniority # in class goes by age, so the older guys are getting what they want, the younger guys are going to LGA (junior). But considering all the movement most guys are getting the base they want in a few months or less, like me who is going to Ohio. Although I'm giving up a line at LGA just to sit on reserve for a couple more months. IND is the most senior base here at CHQ, its the company HQ which you think would be the opposite but since were a regional and our flying changes so much the least likely base to change so all the senior guys want the stability. Chicago its also a "more" senior base although its existence is up in the air since all of our flying there is for American, then like I said LGA is where most new hires are going and everything else, (CMH, CLE, and SDF) fall somewhere in the middle...
I don't know a heck of a lot about Shuttle, other than that new hires are getting spread about between IND, CMH, and LGA. ATL is very senior since a lot of our Delta flying has disappeared out of there.
I have a friend who is a recent new-hire at Air Wisconsin, he got LGA right off the bat. If you want to live on the West Coast SkyWest or Horizon are where you want to go...
But your young and looking to breaking into the airline world (like its been previously said) just go to the first place that pays a semi-decent/livable wage and live wherever until you get the experience and some seniority.
Good Luck.
