Jumpseating with skis.

I'm going out west in a few weeks to ski, and I was wondering if anyone has some insight on jumpseating with skis. I'm going to Vancouver and I've always just rented before but I'd really like to take my skis this time. I know I could list as a non rev and check my skis, but I don't think continental goes to Vancouver. If anyone has some suggestions I would appreciate it.

They'll usually gate check them no problem.

I'm heading to Whistler in early January and you shouldn't have problems checking them in at the counter.

How do you get them through security?

I've had no problem on Southwest, and Frontier took my golf bag no problem.

So you can just take skis boots and everything through security and they will gate check them?
