It's costs a little money, but if you start to have "Getthereitis", a cheap revenue option is Allegiant. Rode to HNL from LAS for about $150ish. Ride wasn't bad. Better than a jumpseat. Crews were nice. Every single thing in addition to the seat reservation cost extra.
