Jumpseat Without Passport

This isn't all that complicated. (I carry my passport, even as a domestic trash-hauler.)

To be fair, he's sitting through 2+ months of training at my shop without an opportunity to go home other than via jumpseat. They take your passport for a period of time in order to issue visas, as well.

Can't believe that happened to you. Then again, I've found that many agents, particularly ticketing agents, don't really know what they can and can't do. Once had a ticketing agent tell me I had to be in uniform. Another told me that I had to go through my company's website to purchase a ZED fare. I just say thanks and go find another person to help.

To the OP, then, get a second passport. If you travel overseas, get a second passport. It should be mandatory for international crews.

It's a good idea. Something I need to do, as well.

But I'm just sayin'... Let the OP go home and see his wife without slamming millennials. :) No such thing as positive spacing home on weekends unless he decided to move to Quito.

They actually stamp your passport in Israel? I've been many times and we just get a "visa card" similar to an immigration card to put in our passport.

No. I just don't like the passport number written on a jumpseat pass which will then not be in my possession. I'd say about 50% of the time the Delta Captain tells me to keep the Capt copy and takes the Passrider copy because the Capt copy has the passport number written on it.

I'd rather not find out. My name and passport number are on that pass. One could use it to fabricate a 'fake' passport and try and use it to gain access at places. Maybe not to travel and make it into the US but maybe to gain access to an embassy.

I just don't like ANY of my own personal numbers to be out there..... passport, DL, birthdate, SSN, anything.

Don't Google your home address or phone number then. Like I said before, the big threat is people having access to credit card numbers. People will steal your passport as that has some value. The number means nothing except for the most beautiful thing that is Global Entry!

Which is within your right, but if they're required, as per procedures, to check certain credentials which you choose not to provide, don't go bitching on the Internet.

It's likely they have something or someone knows what to do. They deal with passport stuff daily.

And how do they fake the RFID data? There is more there than just your name and number. That still has to be scanned before you can access the embassy. When was the last time you were in an embassy? You still have to stay in the main lobby most of the time.
