Jumpseat / commuting advice?

Ameriflight is a part 135 carrier, and they're in CASS. They have a jumpseat agreement with at least Southwest.
Can confirm - we have had them ride along on us before.

Story?Story time!

I was flying with an older CKAM a few months back and as we were boarding the plane an Ameriflight employee came up and introduced himself and produced his credentials to the Captain who looked really confused as he had never heard of Ameriflight. (Some guys live under a rock I guess? Or had just been with us so long he had no clue who else was out there.) The Ameriflight guy was sporting a solid beard and was wearing a jeans and a polo. The CKAM looked extremely confused as to this non shaven (Im assuming Pilot) guy was trying to jump and he had never heard of his company. After about 30 seconds of the CKAM just sort of staring at the guy and asking what Ameriflight was and muttering something about appearance and how he had no idea who this company was and that it sounded fishy he finally succumbed and let the guy have a seat in the back. I had to politely explain to the CKAM that it was a freight business. He was still sort of compounded by the guys appearance and that he thought it was a fake company even though the guy had a jump approval and all the credentials.

But yeah back to the 135 - Home basing is where they let you live anywhere and purchase you a positive space ticket to wherever you need to be.

I understand that...It was more of a question...are they in CASS. But America Flight is a scheduled 135...this guy May be with an EAS 135 which a JS agreement is workable.

Ugh. Thanks for the correction. I was writing with kids crawling on me.

It is not home based. I just live in a different city and need to commute.

Yes, it’s an EAS 135 and in CASS.
