Jump Pilots

Whoa, relax buddy. I wasn't criticizing. Just hadn't heard of any benefits to landing without flaps, so I was curious as to what you'd found.

Wasn't criticizing you, I was criticizing my boss. Sorry if I came off cross. He is the one who pitches a fit if I come in at even flaps 10 degrees!

At first I enjoyed jump piloting, but now its gettting old...260 hours of up down in the 206.
If you're flying jumpers in a 206 (or any other piston single), you're doing it wrong. I ain't knocking ya, a job's a job and there aren't enough jobs to go around these days. But if you're working for a DZ that's using piston singles, then you already know going in that there ain't a lot of money changing hands. When there ain't a lot of money changes hands, margins are going to be low and that tends to lead to bosses who are jerks.

Ah, who and I kidding? Bosses tend to be jerks at the big DZ's too. The only difference is, at the big DZ's the bosses have a lot more on their plate so they have less time to give the pilots grief. ;)
