I just got the call from Northern Air Aviation Services, a part of Northern Air Cargo. I will be a ramper for American, Frontier, Shared Aviation Services, and a couple other airlines. Woot!!!:D
 
Do you get free travel? Otherwise I wouldn't do it. I worked for Horizon and got free travel on them plus Alaska, also I helped out Frontier, so I got free airfare on them. Just two words. "Rain Pants."

I dont know if I get free travel. The job is till mid September, and I will be so busy I wouldnt have time to take advantage of them.
 
Oh well, I went up to Anchorage and it was the best place I've ever visited, Orlando wasn't too bad either. Don't hurt your back too much.

I'm hoping to get on with something like that around here. My shift at the FBO is down to 12 hours a week. :( Not enough to get me through training.

Never really needed knee pads. I always grabbed some passenger duffel bag and used it as a knee pad.:sarcasm: But I really needed good rain pants, didn't like the feeling of a wet butt all day long.
 
Congrats!

You will have a blast as a ramper. I spent 12 years on the ramp with UA before "growing up". If it paid anything like it used to, I would probably still be there.
 
Congrats Alec! Do they give you any flight benefits over there? F9 is usually pretty good about giving contractors at least a few buddy passes.

I may be transferring to the ramp next month myself.

I dont know yet. But like I said before, I doubt I would have time to use them
 
how bad is that stupid volcano wrecking the airport? I see on our tracker we have a jet in FAI and one in BFI.

I still plan on being up there on the 31st

It looks pretty quiet around here. It appears Alaska has limited operations. The volcano went off last night, and this morning. Things may be slow around here.

Wanna help us with the sacrifice for the volcano?
