I flew into the Johnson Creek airstrip in Idaho this past summer to a BackCountry Pilots.org Fly-in. This is the airstrip for the little town of Yellow Pine, ID. ( google Yellow Pine Harmonica contest). The Harmonica Contest is the biggest thing that happens there each year. Only 17 people spent the winter there. It sometimes is snowed in for days. It is located about 40 miles east of McCall, ID. It is a town out of the 1930s, and still has a dirt main street. They have a webcam at the airport: Johnson Creek Airport webcam.
