Ok, so I've been looking at jobs at pilotjobs.com I'm no where near the requirements to get a job flying yet, but I'm really interested in something. I want to be well prepared as I have been reading up as much as possible and driving the board nuts with millions of questions.. Heh..
Anyway, when looking at the job qualifications, it says:
Minimum/Competitive/preferred
Now what does that mean.. exactly? If joe blow wants any shot at the job, he needs to submit a a resume with the preferred qualifications right? I understand what those 3 words mean, but from an employer standpoint, should I even pay any attention to the minimum and competitive? What is competitive?
Also, most ask for a airline transport pilot certificate, but commercial for minimum. Whats that mean?
Thanks,
