Is anyone using/paying for AVjobs.com? 24.99 seems like a lot for a website, but if it provides results....

Thanks!

I created an aviation folder in my favorites, fav'd the career section of a ton of airlines and check them daily.

Literally.

Did this with my smart phone. Any time I had some down time I would flip through the bookmarked pages and check. Doing that I checked them maybe 3 or 4 times a day.

Pljenkins you may be the person I got the idea from reading through posts on this site. ☺

Literally. Everyday. During work, when I get home, before bed,etc...

Saw several openings recently I'd probably miss waiting on a notification.

flygirl6 I'd say try that. It's akin to the stake out one performs on their mailbox awaiting their DX License IMO.

Just as viligent lol

I made an Excel document so that I could put the link to their careers page, date I last applied, occ location, etc. I wouldn't pay for AVjobs!

Geeze, -name removed because I'm a cool guy- you put too much thought into stuff.

I used indeed when I was searching for a job. I had it saved with three searches and I checked it daily, just to look at the new jobs posted.

There are two things on this Earth that I will never pay for, one is job search websites and the other.....well you know what that is.
However,...I did pay for "the orange site" (climbto350.com )for a couple of months. Great site and worth every penny, but mostly for pilots. I was looking for flying jobs at the time. You can view the jobs without paying, but you cant see where or who....

But as everyone has posted here, if you 1.watch this site 2-3 times a day, 2. the airlines websites, 3.simplyhired.com or indeed.com
you will see everything within 24 hrs of it being posted. Its a lot of websites and how you choose to manage them is up to you. lots of ways to do that.
It is a daily slog to be sure. But again, i wouldnt pay unless you just want to compare. aslong as you can cancel. You will find that between the 4 methods/sites that I mentioned, you will see it all and promptly too. I learned all of this from this website. No new ideas here.

good luck.

Just use AVJOBs to find the posting then go to that airlines website and apply that way, instead of paying a subscription.

Yeah I use a lot of those sites already. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a major one I was missing. I do check Indeed constantly....multiple times per day. I search by a variation of keywords "flight follower", "flight coordinator", "dispatcher", "flight dispatcher". Thanks though!

I still agree with pljenkins... My preference was to bookmark the actual airline's websites that I was interested in and check them several times daily. The job listings will likely show up there before they do on sites like indeed.
