I never knew about this PanAm thread until now. That's Entertainment!! It also makes me glad that I'm done with all my basic ratings (I don't mean that in a disrespectful way to those who are learning to fly - it's just that I didn't know about all the training programs, options, and strong opinions that were available when I was going thru training. Ignorance was bliss, I guess).
I don't post all the time, but I 'lurk' a lot to kill time. I usually don't post unless I have something useful from my experience that I can contribute, or to crack a joke or two. That's just me. Some folks just gotta post all the time, whether or not they contribute something useful or accurate. That's OK too - it's a free country but sometimes the content gets diluted, tempers get inflamed, and things go downhill. But it's all good - I think think that this place self-moderates fairly well, and generally cool heads prevail after each storm and a reasonably smart reader can extract some good info from such a thread. The worst thing that can happen is that I will be entertained by a few pages of bickering. It's just another thing that helps me kill time while I'm waiting around in the FBO.
