Jetblue window open August 7

Then why bother on opening an app window, if they won't have any interest for other applicants........, that perhaps, were not able to attend to any of those conferences, it does not mean someone is not interested working there.

I'm assuming there will be some who get in despite not going to a career fair, but not the majority.

I got lucky and scored an invite to an open house back in 2010. First question I got asked: have you filled out the online application? They don't take apps at the job fairs (usually). They'll point you to the website, and most of the time you look better if you've already got an app on file when you meet them face to face.

Honestly, it's a moving target as to what it takes to get a call. I was around 3800TT with about 2000 TPIC when I got hired. I also had that open house under my belt, 7 internal recs and one of them instrumental in getting the call for the interview. Guys got the call ahead of me that had zero connections. Guys get the call now with few connections and no TPIC time at all. Some guys with 5000TT and 3000 TPIC time can't get a call to save their lives. I honestly can't tell you what the magic formula is. For a while, it was apparently to know me. Everyone I wrote a LOR for in one window got a call. To my knowledge, no one I wrote one for has gotten a call lately. So, I guess, don't ask me. It's a curse now. :)

You upgraded at Pinnacle with 1,800 hrs?

Can anybody PM me a generic email for Jetblue HR? I went in to update my address and accidentally deleted my application

Ball park figures. I didn't bust out the logbook to check before I wrote the post. I was probably about 2,000 hours. So, yeah, 1,800 give or take.

Damn LOL nice. :)

Going on 7,500+ with none here. Crazy to think if I was at jetBlue I'd already be an E190 and A320 CA. Ya'll have some crazy movement. Or huge bypassing. Regardless, being a local to JFK/EWR/LGA, I wouldn't mind reserve.

Lots of growth and lots of bypassing. When the award comes out I should hold E190 captain, and I think A320 captain will go junior to me. Crazy. My 3rd anniversary is December 5.

Once we get a new contract, I'm betting captain starts going more senior assuming the reserve rules are improved.
