JetBlue video interview

Call out sick and go home. This is your future career you are talking about, and a pretty lucrative one at that.
@Max Power
So in hindsight this prob wasn't that bad of an idea huh?

Don't underestimate the importance of the "process", especially if it comes to a career destination on the top of your list. Do whatever it takes to get in as early as possible, seniority matters. A few days after interviewing at Virgin America I got the call to do the drug test. I was sitting airport reserve at Compass in LAX and ran over to a building on Century Blvd. and knocked it out right then. Maybe not the best idea while sitting in the crew room but I figured what the hell.

That got me a class date 6 months sooner than another dude who did it several days latter, because I was in the last class they held for the remainder of the year. It got me a little bit more seniority also when the dust settled on the eskimo acquisition of us. I'm sure there was some luck involved but it also doesn't hurt to get the steps done asap. Good luck!

I totally get your point, I’m just not a call out sick kind of person. I rarely do get sick, so I rarely call out and I don’t take “sickation”. Plus, our accrual rate on sick time is fairly low, so sick time is fairly precious. If B6 doesn’t work out, I’ll still be here at C5 and I might still need the sick time. Trust me, I was really tempted and had it been a face to face, I certainly would have.

Thanks for the advice and well-wishing though!
