Jeppesen Professional Logbook

I'm confused. I see multiple replies with ideas for you and everyone you've shot down. Did you want help/ideas or to give criticism?

I just started using Zululog and I like it so far.

Yea. If you're wanting to do totals verification, just show a date range from the beginning until the last entry on your paper page, then compare the totals. Otherwise look for another digital package to migrate to.

I would only ever show a potential employer one version anyways, so it doesn't really matter because only you will see it. I get personal preference, but seems minor to me.

Do paper only.

At Colgan I did leg by leg.
At pinnacle I did a week at a time.
At AA I do a month at a time.
I still log GA flight by flight.

During my interview the guy looking over my logbook complimented me for having an actual paper logbook and not some printout that was bound by kinkos.

That and I hate computers for anything other than stuff im not supposed to look at :)

How did you get the interview? Did you fax over your resume?

Good point. I have been. I should have specified if anyone knew where some 14 line log books are being sold at. Those all were good ideas, I've been frustrated with the change Jeppsen made.

Yeah I understand the frustration. With such a specific request, maybe you can find someone selling the old Jepp logbooks or getting a hold of Jepp and see if they can lead you into a better direction than here

I've called them and the gal on the phone wasn't much help.

The jepp logbook I have is js506055. I've googled around and some pilot shops seem to show them in stock, however I don't want to purchase one again and not have the correct book.

I suppose you could google pilot supplies and call around until you found one that still has the older one in stock.
Also, any 91/135 people reading this could help Scooter out by checking the display cases and pilot shops at the FBOs, etc and letting him know if you find one.
:)

I'll sell ya one. It's even already filled out!!!

You wants GA, Turboprops, or A320 FO? I've got all three!!!

Shoot me a PM to remind me, and I will troll by the local pilot shop when I get home and I'll see if they have any of the 14 line variety. Might be tough since if I recall, those brown Jepp logbooks came shrink wrapped, but it's just down the street and will check.

I noticed that change too on what I thought was the same "part number." I didn't consider it a huge deal as I never did have my LogTen Pro exactly line up with the pages on the 14-line version. I just do a report on the date ending on that page in order to rectify the numbers. If I have a date that continues on to the next page, it's not that hard to either report a day earlier or later and make the adjustment to the totals. I figure I'm already spending the extra time copying my electronic log to the written one (more for nostalgia than anything) and a couple more seconds a page manually computing the numbers isn't a big deal compared to all the time I'm already wasting.

My books look exactly same on the outside. Just the newer one is only 13 lines vs the old 14 lines.

My logbook is a love story.

Sounds great, and very romantic for the movie OneSixRight... Excuse me while I barf....
