Anybody using it on the Ipad? Cost? Pros vs. Cons, etc.? Any better options out there? Any information would be helpful, thanks!

It's pretty damn good. Not perfect, but pretty damn good. The en routes and plates are fantastic, and easy to use. Everything else they need to do some catch up on (weather overlay, flight planning, a weight and balance app would be cool, etc).

If you're not set on having Jepps, and you don't leave the US and Canada, I think Foreflight is pretty impressive, and certainly cheaper.

We use JeppFD at my shop but I have ForeFlight on my iPad mini. I will keep saying this until the cows come home. ForeFlight is superior in every aspect. 75 bucks a year for a subscription and all the enroute charts are the actual chart not a data derived and drawn chart like JeppFD.

ForeFlight gives you access to the AFD as well, a lot of information in that AFD that is either not available by NOTAM (certain runways closed when the tower is closed, etc) along with FBO locations, fuel prices, phone numbers, freqs, etc.

You can get Canada charts too for 150 bucks a year, not sure if that is on top of the 75 or not. Even if it is, still cheaper than Jepp and the Canadian charts are not difficult to read or use either.

The Canadian charts on on top of the US charts (either $75/yr or $150/yr for "Pro"). Good catch in pointing out all the other extras that you get from Foreflight, as well.

Like I said, I love Jepp FD when someone else is paying for it, but, if it's my money, I'm going with Foreflight :)
