JC's newest Instrument pilot.

Yep, got the ticket March 1st. I studied my butt off for that written and got an 88. It wasn't as high as I wanted, but it didn't make a difference come checkride day. I'm already studying for the commercial written. Now if only I could get another 60 hours...

As am I. One of the advantages of taking so long to do the private (about 3 years from intro flight to checkride including a 2 year break) is that my total time is up around 210 ;). The commercial written looks quite a bit easier than the Instrument judging by the examples I've seen in the Jepp book I just bought. I recognize some of the questions from the private written.

It'll be a breeze. Just learn some new regs (which you might be familiar with), a couple of location and time equations and you're set.

It's a fairly straight forward and easy test. It sucks that it's 100 questions though. I wasn't one of the type of guys who memorizes the questions and goes in, but I went in and finished in about 30-40 minutes. it's a pretty easy exam
