JC Surfers?

Thanks! It's a 6'8". I want to say the width is 21 3/4", but I'm not sure. The rocker is smooth and the board is extra buoyant, which is great for turns. The swallowtail is great for speed, too. Here's my longboard:

That's funny, my longboard is a 9'0, as well. Quit copying me...err, wait... :D

3-5' and absolutely perfect for the longboard. Air temperature of 73F, and a water temp still hovering near 60F. Can't complain. :)

I figured @etflies was enjoying the time off with his wife, so I didn't think to ask if you wanted to join. Sorry buddy!

Since the last time I posted in this thread, I signed a lease on a new apartment. It's a nice 2 bedroom that sits a block from the surf break that bears the name of the street I'll be living on. Yes, in less than a year surfing, that's how hooked I've gotten. :)

Move-in day is March 6th... Can't wait. The break is literally a 3 minute walk from my front door.

Good to hear! No worries about searching for a parking spot in the summer months - how nice will that be.

So.....surfing soon?! Sorry I missed your previous post, I never got a notification. But yes, it was time off well spent.

At any rate, this is pretty unique for our little neck of the woods:

Man, you remember San Diego... If there's a swell on, you can't find a parking spot any time of the year! I'll be living in Carlsbad rather than Cardiff (the latter was my first choice, but I love Carlsbad too), but the good part is that the crowds are a lot lighter than Cardiff.

That's especially true in P.B. Good luck finding a parking spot on or near Garnet Avenue/La Jolla Blvd past, say, 10 AM on a typical summer day!

Carlsbad is a beautiful city. And like you said, I do not recall the crowds to be that heavy.

Oh man, I first started surfing at Tourmaline... I very quickly got sick of that. Even on a dawn patrol, there'd be 6 other guys out.

I actually just moved into my new place today... Paddled out afterward right at sunset, and had the break to myself. :)

Tourmaline is almost always crowded, but I would say it does have a nice right when the swell has some South in it.

Great news about your new digs! PM session a mere three(?) blocks away from your place, no one else out...major congratulations!

One block... ;)

And thanks. Super, super stoked! :)

Well I'm living in Palos Verdes, CA now. Been on the beach 4 days in a row now. Unfortunately I only have a skimboard with me, the surf and paddlboards are still in Michigan.

Anyone ever jumpseated with boards? I know FedEx allows you to bring what you can carry, but what's their thoughts on 12 ft paddleboards?
