Jammed Elevator Event.

I believe MX mis rigged it. Down was up and up was down.

That happened to a friend of mine when he was training somebody on the Chieftain. Thankfully the trainee that he was with had time in the Chieftain from her time at Airnet, and thankfully she realized quickly that something wrong when she started trimming. They got the plane down with him flying the plane, and her manually trimming the thing backwards as he called for it, so neither of them would accidentally start rolling the trim in the wrong direction.

Heads rolled in MX after that one.

That was the 1900 that had just departed HYA with the trim reversed back in 2003. There was a 1900 with a jammed elevator a couple years later flying from RKD-AUG. We had the airplane in the hangar for a week with Colgan and Raytheon personnel working on it.

I remember it was good ol LVR...seems like everyone I talked with hated that plane.
