So whats the deal...I thought they signed up with Skyteam? Now I read something written around the same date saying its staying with 1world.

You mean "Skyteam" now.

There was a billion dollars that came out of 'nowhere' from Delta. A few of us asked, "Hey! If DAL has a billion to throw at JAL, how about some cash and prizes for the pilots who gave up 1.2 billion/year in pay concessions?"

The union's answer was (paraphrased) "jobs will be lost if they didn't, we must support this".

So now that the deal is off, the new word is that "well, that's really Skyteam money and not money that DAL had."

My head is spinning!
