Jack Brown's in Winter Haven FL provided me with one of the most fun filled weekends of my life! Nothing like flying a 1940s J3 Cub on floats, hopping around between central Florida's numerous lakes and channels. For $1200, and a nice weekend, you will walk out with your ASES, (assuming you pass your ride). The checkride itself was very simple and straight forward. It may seem easy since the maneuvers are not at all that difficult, I logged 0.8, while the Oral was no more than 20-25 minutes, covering everything you learn on the first morning in ground school. Looking for a great weekend, and a relatively cheap add-on rating. Jack Brown's Seaplane Base is for you!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Incidentally, if you hold a flight instructor certificate for single engine airplanes, you are now both an ASEL and ASES flight instructor.

I should get over there this winter to upgrade to my commercial certificate. Or, on second thought, wait a bit longer and just get the ATP-SES. I did my private SES up at Ryan Aviation in Flagler, in an A-1B amphib.
