Is the Jerome you went to the one I'm thinking of with it's name in white letters on the top of the hill? I was there about a decade ago...neat little town! I remember the streets were very narrow. Does it seem more touristy now or is it still the quaint little town it was then?

Northern Arizona is one of the most beautiful places in the USA, for sure.

I think Jerome is what you're thinking of. We drove from Phoenix, thru Prescott, then thru Jerome into Sedona and had a late afternoon picnic. Even got to inadvertently take part in a non-traditional Jewish wedding which was being held right where we were picnicking! "Mazoltoff!" (or however you spell it)

Did you go to the biker bar at Paul and Jerry's Saloon?

Jerome is cool. Starting to get a little "touristy", but still has some down-home back-country old-fashioned feel to it. Met a true-blue backwoods type guy at one of the local outfitter's store there....

Were there dueling banjo's playing in the background?

If so, did you run away?

Nah, just passing thru. I think the idea of me, a few beers and that winding road gave Kristie the willies so no sasparilla for Dougie.
