It's Official

It’s kinda funny I will hear either “I don’t SLOP ever” or as soon as we possibly can “SLOPing 2”. Congrats on 777!

On a domestic airway? No clue about Brazilian air/route network or if it's allowed. They were over land, not the water. Don't know if they SLOP over land?

Agreed. And having heard the CVR from the Embraer, those two were literally flying around like clueless folks, completely distracted, and no care in the world that no one had contacted them. It wasn't until the CA stepped out to take a bathroom break did the FO finally think maybe I should contact someone by radio, it's been silent. And hearing him talk to ATC in his fast paced (normal) voice showed just how out of touch he was for the airspace he was in. And sorry, but TCAS being on stantby is visible on your MFD and a half decent scan should have picked that up within 20 minutes.

I know Brazilian ATC gets the main blame, but these two Embraer pilots were severely lacking in common sense airmanship.
Oh you certainly SLOP in S. America.

There I was, one day flying into Georgetown...

I don’t choose even numbers. I slop 1.7 or 1.8

How many other weirdos out there like me? Most slop 1 or 2 going to/from Hawaii.

But I’m special :)

Everyone chooses 1 or 2. I figure that’s where other people are, so why should I do that?

Our procedures allow us 0.0 to 2.0 right, in increments of 0.1

So yes I do 1.7 or 1.8 along with other values that aren’t half or whole (so anything other than 0.5 or 1 or 1.5 or 2)

I thought you were going to say you upgraded. I would have needed your employee number to put you on my do not pair list. :bounce:

Congrats Dan! I hope you enjoy your escape from the narrowbody domestic world.
Thanks! It's been a different world for certain. I've been to MXP and LHR so far.
