It's Christmas....

Re: It\'s Christmas....

We have lazy boys and TV but computers will only access UPS crew stuff...no internet access. For that you have to bring your own computer and hook up. Domestic, I'll carry my laptop around and get on line during the sorts but International, it's too much hassle to carry around the laptop so I chill out with my CD player. My next Europe trip has no sorts and the one after that only has two sorts...so I don't have to kill much time, which is nice. While in Cologne or Warsaw, I know where all the close by internet cafes are. They are fairly inexpensive, fast connections, and full of interesting characters....good entertainment.

Re: It\'s Christmas....

When does the "pay/flight time" start/finish? Is it once you get to the plane and in the cockpit or is it Engine Start to Engine Shutdown?

Re: It\'s Christmas....

Pay starts from the moment the door closes and the beacon is turned on at the departure airport. Pay stops when you arrive at the gate, turn the beacon off and open the door.

Yuk - ACARS!

I never had to deal with that anyway. Even at Midway we called in times.

Merry Christmas from not-so-sunny San Diego, where if it were only about 25 degrees cooler we'd be enjoying a wonderfully white Christmas. As it is, it's just a gray one with continual rain.

Re: It\'s Christmas....

It's the rainy season in So Cal! Wanna trade? Send that rain our way and it'd be snowing!

One of these days, I'm going to go back to San Diego around the holidays to see the Christmas lights while I'm wearing a sweater at most.

Oh, yeah, my excuse? I'm waiting for my folks to get down here. I've got the food ready to drive over to my brother's place, but it won't fit in my car. So they gotta get here before the food gets cold or dry!
