JT, agreed, although I'm not sure how much we would need to invest to get another Fischer Space Pen, Velcro and Teflon (I'm being sarcastic, I know there were many more benefits...)
I wanted to point out, this is something I would love to see achieved. Although our Mars exploration program seems to be doing rather well with a robot at the moment. I just think that there are certain basic economic and social issues that should be addressed here, before we start setting up on another piece of rock.
I think there's a danger of saying... we're a great country that does great things... while ignoring boring stuff that could do with some fixing inside our own borders.
