It's all over folks!

Effective tonight at midnight yours truly is going to be starting his 30's. I think my 30's will be much more fun than my 20's. Anyone have advice for me?

It's over man, OVER! Grey hair, grey NOSE hairs that you'll have to trim. Oh man, don't be a "jumper"! :)

When I was in my 20s, I thought it would be AWFUL being 30-something. Now that I am 30-something, I LOVE it!

30s are awesome!

My 30's here a whole hell of a lot funner than my 20's when I was an uptight bastard. Hopefully my 40's will be more fun than my 30's, but that'll probably result in jail time.

Happy birthday Omar...as far as advice, you have it so much more worked out than when I was 30 (19 years ago!) I cannot remember what advice I would give you!

Except to say don't take yourself too seriously, and if you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong!

Save for your retirement even if you think you cannot afford it (especially if you think you cannot afford it). At 30 you progress from thinking you will live forever and that you are indestructible to still thinking you will live forever but accepting that you are destructible. You will blink your eyes a couple times and it will be a time when you want to or have to retire. Saving a little now means more than saving a lot later.

Embrace and cherish your children. They will not be little for very long. The most important job you will ever have is being a good parent. Be a great one.

Spend time with your parents. Sadly, their days are numbered. Ask your parents all those questions that you might consider "first date" questions. What was your first job after high school? What did you like best in school? How did you decide to buy that house we lived in when I was little? Who do you think was the worst boss you ever had? The list goes on and on. Trust me on this one. After they are gone, you will regret not having those conversations with them.

Ya dang snot nose kids! I don't even remember 30 it was so long ago (48 and counting). Now, where are my meds..and why was I taking them...what are we talking about again? :dunno: :D

Happy 30th!

I gotta say, you guys crack me up. Although my master plan to take over the world and be at mainline before 30 didn't pan out, I'm pretty happy about how things are. Thanks for all the advice. Now where'd I leave the number to that truck driving school?

Nicely done, Peter.

I just turned 25 at midnight.

FML.

I hate having a new years birthday. Everyone texts you at midnight with Happy New Years, forgetting its your birthday. Everyone goes crazy, and the next day on your actual birthday no one wants to do anything.
