Nurse Reveals ISIS Are Treated At Hospital Headed By Erdogan’s Daughter
Posted on July 21, 2015 by Carol Adl in Middle East, News, World

The daughter of the Turkish President is allegedly heading a covert medical team to treat wounded ISIS militants who are fighting the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The nurse, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution, disclosed that the secret military hospital, headed by Sümeyye Erdogan, is located in the southeastern Turkish city of Sanliurfa, according to a report by AWD news

Press TV report: The 34-year-old nurse revealed that the hospital provides extended medical care for the wounded Takfiri militants who are transferred from Syria.

The nurse further said she had worked at the hospital for seven weeks, adding, “Almost every day several khaki Turkish military trucks were bringing scores of severely injured, shaggy ISIL rebels to our secret hospital.”

“We had to prepare the operating rooms and help doctors in the following procedures,” she added.

No more real than actual territory being grabbed, one airliner being brought down by a bomb, another airliner being shot down, and Paris last week. Nothing will come of this.

It took a TOW, I watched a video that backs up that claim. Though it must be said the helo was shutdown which I did find odd.

Dont normally like to link to other blog sites, especially anything from GAWKER media. But their military blog I find is quite good, normally.

I like to dissociate almost everything posted to Jalopnik from the other atrocious Gawker BS, even if they're the same company. Tyler really does top notch stuff on Foxtrot Alpha, though.

He writes about as much garbage as he does fact, not unlike that other nitwit David Axe. They just come off as sounding like they know what they're talking about on stuff.

Problem for Turkey is, this was an insanely small piece of airspace that was violated for what, 15 seconds or so? It was patently obvious there was no hostile intent on the part of the Russian aircraft against anything in Turkey. And the fact the plane was shot down inside Syrian airspace, puts Turkey in a lose-lose situation here. I hope Turkey thought of that and any other upcoming consequences before they decided to take action that isn't even in line with NATO standards.

When it comes to that area, we can't always be so sure. On the surface, it looks like an over-reaction but you never know.

Pure guess-work here, and I stand open to correction from those who have Been There, but I would bet a case of beer that the Russians have been lighting up the Turks and regularly making a few "woopsie" flights over their territory (for extremely brief and deniable periods of time) whilst bombing the everloving crap out of their what amount to Turkish Militia forces in Northern Syria. Erdogan, not what anyone would call the stablest ship on the psychic seas, says "teach em a lesson", and we (and Europe) are left holding the bag.

I don't have the data in front of me right now, but I saw a report (BBC I think, or maybe NPR) a few days ago that showed Russian aircraft had "strayed" into Turkish airspace daily since they started air operations in Syria.

Yeap, you wouldn't need to buy beer. I think everyone now is reporting that Russia has been poking Turkey since they began airstrikes, so there you have it. Not always as straightforward sitting back at home.

If there's no hostile intent on the part of the intruders.......ie- they didn't hit that tiny sliver of airspace and turn north deep into Turkey immediately.......then its VERY difficult to be able to articulate a threat that warrants shoot down.

To shoot down these jets crossing that small sliver of land border that they were in for 15 seconds:

1. The Turks would've had to take the shot at them inside Turkish airspace, to where they'd be hit outside Turkish airspace and crash outside Turkish airspace. Hardly the way to show hostile intent on the part of the Russians. And as can be seen, they crashed in Syria.

or

2. To have the Russian jets crash inside the Turkish border in that area, the Turks would've had to fire at the Russians when they were outside Turkish airspace.....before EVER even entering Turkish airspace, in order for them to be hit and crash inside Turkish airspace.

Either way, Turkey hasn't a leg to stand on in this way. As no NATO doctrine in non-wartime (ie- Turkey and Russia not at war) supports this.

Notice also that Turkey didn't go deal with Russia on this one on one, they immediately went "running to dad" (NATO) to go plead their case. That bastard Turk president, who supports ISIS and buys oil from them, didn't like it when Russia was hitting ISIS oil convoys.

If we go by that standard, we'd have been shooting down people left and right in the Cold War.

Looks like that old thing limped along for a good amount of time before auguring in. While on one hand, I am no fan of current or (very similar) Soviet Russia, I also don't find any happiness in this happening to their guys. Bad enough to have to live in Syria, worse yet to be subjected to these animals once you survive an ejection. Sorry to hear about this.

Well, and herein lies the great "problem". Although it might be more like a boon, if it awakens the populace of various nations to the notion that whilst our Sovereign Gubmints aren't super-happy about their citizens getting randomly killed by maniacal 9th century goatherders, they'd rather tussle with each other over "influence" than pull together. What I find so fascinating about the "ISIS problem" is that it's that perfect convergence of everyone supposedly agreeing that, now, here, finally is the Common Enemy of Mankind. The Muricans, The French, The Russkies...everyone in the world who was born with indoor plumbing (and a lot who weren't) are totally sympatico on being...eh, well, "against" these totally batpoop insane fanatics. But here we are, ticking up the Defcons against each other. And just why, do you suppose, might THAT be? I mean if it has nothing to do with ISIS, which seems as obvious as the nose on your face, just what does it have to do with? Ideology? Oh, I think not.
