Hi guys I heard this saying and just wanted to know if any of you have heard it, I think it sounds about right.

An Airplane Flies a Private Pilot
A Commercial Pilot Flies the Airplane and
An Airline Transport Pilot Flies the Airplane

Sounds about right to me,

Swedeek

I'd have to say [ QUOTE ]
An Airline Transport Pilot MONITORS the Airplane

[/ QUOTE ] IMHO

Except when the autopilot is INOP like happened to me last night on the way to IND.

Let me play with some graphics here:

Pvt. Pilot: ^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v
Comm Pilot: ^--v-^-v--^-v-^-v-^--v-^--
Atp: -------------------------------------

That's supposed to be my hand indicating how steady the aircraft flies

I know, it'll be a strecth for some of you but work with me people, work with me.

Haha, I thought that was the EKG of the different stages of the flying career. Or, it could be brain activity at cruise!
