I suspect that a lot of the people are asking about the legality of it not because they want to report the guy, but because they want to do the same thing as he did without ending up on the wrong side of the feds.

And that's part of the problem here. We can all sit here and site regulations this guy may or may not have violated, or we can enjoy a nice video that some guy made, from who knows where, in what country no one knows, and move on with life not sweating things we have ZERO control over. I prefer to get my chonies wadded about things that actually matter to me.

Well then you enjoy the video and leave the interesting discussion about regulations to the people that enjoy that part as well. There's no reason we can't do both happily.

I try and avoid thinking about the regulations because 30 years ago when there weren't as many aviation was much more enjoyable.
