is there any non-degree professional pilot training course in UND

You can minor in "professional" flight. That gives you all of your ratings through Single, Multi, Instrument Airplane.

I highly recommend doing this too, if you want to major in something completely different. I really wish I would've majored in Marketing instead of Aviation Management and just got a minor in Professional Flight. It wouldn't be much of an additional work load if I finished the Marketing degree somewhere else (just a few more credits) either...so it's still an option.

I believe it's only 15 credits to get a regular management degree. My room mate is a management major and I think there's only 4 or 5 classes that are different between the two curriculums. That's not marketing though, so nevermind. I'm just trying to get my post count up. haha :)

I am from china. I have a B.S in chem . So I just want to be trained to get a FAA comercial license with multi rating in America. So I want to know wether there is non-degree pilot training in UND.

I don't think UND has non-degree pilot training except for the contractual agreements with the Asian airlines that come do intensive training.

You would think that you'd be able to just do a minor in Professional Flight without working towards a Bachelor's degree and just "declare" that you're working on a new Bachelor's degree... because I don't think UND (or any other university) allows coming in and only working for a minor. I think you could pull the loophole this way. <---take this as a grain of salt because I have no clue.

i graduated from UND on May 15, 2004 with a BBA with a major in Management and Minor in Economics. After working for a summer & semester, I came back to UND to pursue a degree in aviation. Well, I was advised by many professionals in the industry that I only need to do the flying courses since I already have my degree from UND so that is what I am doing right now. I am declared Commercial Aviation and in fact, have done an internship with ExpressJet, who by the way, has told me that they don't care if I finish another degree; just as long as I get the good ol flying done!
But, no, you can't declare a "minor". doesn't matter though. Company's doent care about minors. It will not even show up in the program at the Spring Commencemnt Ceremony!
You can just put down on your resume: "EMPHASIS: PROFFESIONAL FLIGHT" or whatever.
Don't be so rigid with your career plans....the real world just wants hard working, experienced people.

Interesting story. I was thinking in terms of people who've earned degrees elsewhere and who want to come to UND.

So are you going to finish the Commercial Aviation degree, or is it declared just so you can enroll in the flight courses that will allow you to obtain your certificates/ratings that you need?

the phrase "cheaper to get ratings elsewhere" comes to mind readily.
