I'm really wondering and would be interested to know if the bar was fined for providing alchohol for a minor??atpwannabe said:First of all, sorry that it happened. Second, if you are not old enough to drink alcohol in the first place...why were you in public, @ a bar no less...drinking?
CaptainChris87 said:but yeah I hate the police, all they do is harass innocent people and let the REAL criminals get away freely, they always want to punish and draw big attention in embarassing the individual they have caught and showing their "powers".
GL to you

yea... but driving 5 miles over the speed limit generally won't kill you...getting behind the wheel with alchohol in your system will.. which is why the laws are much harsher for those disobeying the alchohol rules.mtsu_av8er said:So is driving 5 miles over the limit . . .![]()
Kristie said:personally, i think if your caught, in public, with possession and underage you really should have a nice hefty charge and do some serious community service or something because apparently, the rules are being broken all over the place as far as alchohol is concerned and that just means more dui drivers, more kids killed on the street by drunk drivers, so on and so forth....

Kristie said:well, the fact that the bars in florida don't give a crap as to whether or not they give alchohol to minors sure doesn't help... for many years there, going to the college bars, i was never carded at the bar, only at hte entrance!
FiveO said:I hear you on that. It will soon stop. ATF is going to start doing stings with underaged drinking. I will personally be apart of the sting trying to purchase alcohol from bars and clubs. I am underage so it will be perfect. The fine for the bartender personally will be $10,000 and upwards of $100,000 for the bar. That shows you that we are not kidding around. ATF closed 2 of the biggest clubs in Key West and took the bartenders to jail, as well as those drinking.

I was under the impression that it was the state ABC who dealt with that stuff rather than the ATF - that the ATF only got involved when there were things like unstamped bottles and cigarettes crossing state lines. The reason I ask about this is because during my little alcohol-legal mess, it was the Texas ABC I was dealing with, not the ATF, which I assumed was because I was breaking a state law and not a federal one.

I think you misread.. he said the bartenders were taken to jail....GJ1 said:I don't understand why someone drinking underage should go to jail for it, unless they're causing problems, I can understand that, but if i'm at a friends house drinking a few and having a good time, why should the police even care?
