Is jumpseating on fedex still allowed?

I’ve never jumpseated with them but I know you don’t actually get to sit in the cockpit. However with COVID19, does anyone know if it’s still an option as long as you keep your CASS status?

Done it twice in the past month. Masks required in the crew room and vans and such.

and you do sit in the flight deck on some planes. Depends on the layout. 767 all the seats are in the flight deck.

Thank you! What airline do you work for if you don’t mind me asking? I know fedex doesn’t allow jumpseating on some of their aircraft because of the seats being located in the flight deck despite being in CASS

Hanhon, who told you can't jumpseat in the flight deck at Fedex?

I can't speak for Covid19 procedures, but IIRC they can ask you if you've been to China or international the past 2 weeks and if so, then refuse you.

Fedex 767s only have 4 JSs in the flight deck, there is no other place to sit. On the A300s or 757, obviously you'll take the galley seats first but if they are full, there is still a cockpit jumpseat at the CA's discretion. I'm not aware of any restriction otherwise.

First I've heard of that, where do you hear it?

I haven't heard of this China policy that CC is referring to either. We have a China base, so that really wouldn't make too much sense.

I could be wrong on that, just what I heard. Probably a Covid rumor.

Fedex has always been great to jumpseat on, thank you :)
 
Purple Express Express is taking jumpseaters, even if you've been to China. Cookies are still required and i guess they are handing out masks.
 
Taken the 767 from OAK to SLC several times in the past few months. Just have a mask handy.

BTW Gypsypilot, I get airplane envy comparing the large flight deck of your shiny new 767s to our Apollo capsule sized 737’s.
