Oh man ST. Yeah, he's not a popular DPE, the two flight schools I worked at both unofficially banned him from doing any more check rides with students.
Wow.

I've had my iPhone do that too. It's unnerving to not know why it does that sometimes. On my phone I set alarms for every ten minutes from the time I want to wake up to my van time as a result. I set the alarm on the clock in the hotel room as well always verifying the clock's time is set to PM and the alarm to AM. I also sign up for a wake up call as a last resort. The goal is that the Swiss cheese holes never line up having all 3 alarms never get me up. Fortunately I have not been late once... Being on time is a big deal to me. It says a lot about a person. However, I understand every once in a while someone is late for one odd reason or another, and some grace should be extended because I know I've had my moments too and have been extended that same grace in my former jobs. Now if it's habitual tardiness rather than a rare one time fluke, then something needs to be said about it.
The van being late.... Common occurrence. They act as if it's a surprise that we requested a specific van time even though they have crews probably leaving at the same time every day for the most part...
I set 1 alarm on my iPhone and 1 alarm on my iPad. If they both fail me, then my assumption is that the universe didn't want me to go to work that day.
Has happened yet.
How many devices you take with you, dude?I generally set all of my devices to wake me up. I have about a 25% failure rate, at least psychologically. The more things I set, the better I'm going to sleep because there are a lot of failsafes I've built into my system. So there's a better chance I'm going to get up slightly before the alarms go off because I've slept more soundly.
But i'm a time nerd. In my world, being on time means I'm a minute late.
I'm thinking of KA

I have a travel alarm clock, a laptop, an ipad and a phone.
A laptop can be an alarm clock now? WHAT AN AMAZING TIME TO BE ALIVE!
You just asked how many devices I carry, sweetie.![]()
Sure, if you went back in time to 1998...Soooo... a laptop can't be an alarm clock now?
