Is a 2 yr A&P diploma equivalent to an associates degree?

I will be graduating college this spring and will have a 2 year
A&P diploma. Is this equivalent to an associated degree?
Will this be sufficent for the Regional education requirements?
Or would it be a better idea to get an associate science degree?

If the 2 year A&P diploma is from an accredited community college, then it is considered an associates degree because they make you take liberal arts requirement courses. It's a 60-64 credit diploma which is an associates.
 
What regional airline educational requirements? I didn't think you needed a degree to get hired at the regionals.

Ummm, NO! If it were an Associate's Degree, they call it an Associate's Degree.

I can't seem to open the pdf but let me clarify.


A lot of the community colleges offering the A&P certificate program which usually lasts 16-18 months full time (depending on school) has the option of letting the student combine it towards an associates degree because they earn credit towards the degree. Schools like vaughn, hampton, and many others allow this. The core credits would be the A&P work. I was assuming he was doing the same, but maybe not.
 
right.. but that's an "option" which doesn't mean the degree IS an associates degree.

unless the degree information says that's it's an "associates degree", then my guess would be that it's not. Associates degrees have pretty explicit requirements.
