Iran unveils new stealth fighter

Plus one of those new fancy touch screen garmins.

For their government hating the west and everything that we stand for, they sure like our stuff.

The Iranians cannot be so clueless that they actually think that an aircraft built to an EAA homebuilt standard, but which visually has some of the design shapes of 5th generation fighters, is equivalent to a 5th generation fighter....can they?

Or are they so clueless that, although they know this thing is all image, they believe that the rest of the world can't look at it and see that it is all show and no go?

On another one of the forums I read, one of the posters said, "this thing couldn't even pass for a movie prop."

You'd think Ahmadinejad would take a lesson from Saddam Hussein's play book. Saddam lied about having WMD's until the UN went in, knocked him out of power and lead him to the gallows . Rumor has it the last thing out of Saddam's mouth was; "I was just kidding about the WMD's"

Guys, please! The VNE is clearly 260 kts. Aaaand it has a Garmin GTX (330?)

I think that box on the pilots lower right is a iFly GPS from Adventure Pilot. Fly that thing into Israel's airspace and it would be a real short adventure.

The silver bracket holding the ejection seat in? I have one of those, it was left over when I put my BBQ together last spring.

So the real trick here must be that Iran is trying to attack industries by getting them in trouble for ITA violations.

I think he got the last laugh on that one.

Is it me or are all the breakers on the lower right in the "popped" position? Awesome.

Edit: It looks like all the breakers down the "pedestal" are in the same position.

Why would Iran put "Danger" stickers in English on the side of their plane? I would have thought they would avoid English everywhere possible.

Here's a better shot of the pilot. They must have used a shoehorn to get this dude to fit in this thing.
