Wow!! Got called today from company, IOE on Monday in LEB! :nana2:

Got my May schedule too. Not quite sure how to decode it yet, but I'm sure Seggs will help me out with that later. So far all I know is I'm flying out of LEB all month, I guess TDY, my base is HYA, and I have 11 days off. I'm just excited...like dude - this is my first flying job!! Like - I'm going to be flying passengers on Monday! Scary yet awesome! :D :)

Airdale, did a great job today!

Wow...sure didn't feel like it!! :insane: Man I was hangin on the tail all day! But gosh was it fun. I honestly think the hardest part, was the shock of it all. The shock of actually being an airline pilot. Like I couldn't believe it! I was so caught up in that and all the emotions of working my first airline job, that I couldn't focus much in the cockpit. I pulled off one decent landing, and by the last leg I was getting a little better.

Today was a little better. I was a bit more focused, flew the airplane much smoother and stayed ahead of it a little better. Had one good landing and one screwed up landing! We landed on 32 at Boston, the runway was so skinny, I don't know what happened. I seriously thought I was higher then I was, then wham! It was a perfect carrier landing! :laff: Of course that was not my intention, so I felt pretty embarassed about that. :(

Overall this has been a blast so far, and my IOE Captain is awesome. He has a lot of patience and has been a very good teacher and mentor. He says I'm doing pretty good, but I still have a lot of catching up to do. Have to do a little better on my power control on take off, my callouts and flows and of course I gotta get these landings down pat without having to be talked through it. The airplane definitely lands heavy, big transition from a Seminole. I'm loving it though, and the Beech flies so nice, its fun to actually fly it the whole day. Two more days left, but Thursday will be the *big* day. I think we have like 6 legs or something like that. :insane:

That's great for you!

How long ago was it that you posted you were 'getting out of aviation for a while" and going into the flooring business? And look at where you are now :nana2:

I sleep with the IOE Captain. Yes he is 'awesome'.

Why watch my comments I REALLY do speak the truth?

;)

IT is either one of two things:

* The IOE CA is a roommate of Seggy's.........

or

* Brother Seggy is forgetting to tell us about a rather significant event?

;)

Yep he is my roomate. We share a room at the crashpad together and went to Sweden together last year. He lurks the boards a lot. I think he should start posting. I'm going to poor cold water on him at 2:00 AM to whip his A$$ in shape.

:D

Thats mean. Don't torture him just because he doesn't post! :D

Today was a pretty good day. I actually made 2 good landings, and one of them was off a crazy approach at BOS. ILS 15R circle 4L. It was NUTS dude! Captain kept telling me, "get the nose down, power back, descend!" but man it didn't feel right, I felt like we were getting ready to bomb the runway! But it was fun. He's a really good instructor though, I've been able to retain a heck of a lot and today was really fun skimming the clouds at 9,000, just cruising along! I am really glad I stuck with the Beech, I'm really starting to like this airplane. :)

speaking of seggy's roomies, I met your other roomie that just did his fed ride last week. We caught a cig hiding out near 8A. Awesome dude.

HAHAHHA, yes he is. Do we have some stories...

Hey hairy man, you going to be around tomorrow night?? I should be done by 8 or 9pm. I'd like to have a few beers with you before I head back to dirty jerzey Friday morning. Let me know. We have a 950 show tomorrow for a pretty long day. Capt. said he was going to have me fly the whole day, I think its like 6 legs. Lets see if I can get 6 good landings. :D
