Tram,
I think you should go to Dallas. You will get the same great training at both locations, but Atlanta doesn't have the new Piper Seminoles. Both have nice housing and the instructors are cool. I'm sure there are positives and negatives for each location so go with your heart. LATA.
While on my cross countries, I landed at a couple airports in Texas. There was an old guy hangin out at one of the airports who said, "yep, Texas is so flat, you can stand on a coors can and see the back of yer head".
Welcome aboard...maybe i will see you in Dallas. I am starting on the 12th of April... Get cracking on the studying..
You might want to download the Real Audio file on the Seminole supplement...I did and burned on a cd and listen while I am driving....Vy-88 Vyse 88....Vr 75...Vsse82......LHAND....etc.

ATL has new seminoles.. atleast when I was there earlier this month they did. I was told its normally half and half and that they kept about 7 or so planes there..
Does ATP ask you about your driving record during the interview?
For current instructors: Does your driving record come up during the instructor interview?
Does it appear that I "may" have a ticket or two?
Tram- first off, congrats. be prepared to answer a few basic ppl questions when you talk to jim. when i talked to him he asked me how i would avoid wake turbulence and i think some vfr cloud requirements for a few different types of airspace. it was a year ago so i don't really remember. i don't think it's really a pass or fail type thing but it might save you a little embarrasment if your prepared. good luck and have fun in the program. you'll be totally spent by the time you get to the other side
Im thinking about going to ATP in the manassas location...I just settled with Key Bank...How long is the interview, i havent flown in like 5-6 months thanks for any info
Took me about 30 seconds to get the loan.. However, my dad cosigned and has exceptional credit.. However, I have heard others have gotten it just as easily..
I have talked with SEVERAL people that went through Key and have never heard of anyone being turned down for an aviation loan. I don't think it could be any easier to get the loan as it is on the Key website.
