Just got back to Tulsa from interview this morning in Arlington. Everything went great except for the incident the night before. I was staying at the Hyatt Place in Arlington (across from Six Flags) Decided to eat dinner at Humperdink's. After eating dinner came out to my truck to find it broken into. Radio gone, Ipod gone, Flight gear bag gone (headset, gps, books calculators, kneeboard etc) All Gone. At least the interview went well. Instructor said he would reccomend for admisson and to expect a call on monday. At least the weekend wasn't a total loss.....

I'm surprised I was even able to sleep. I really needed those couple of beers from the hotel bar after that experience. I'd bet money all those books are now in a dumpster somewhere. I hope the thief uses the money to buy some bad crack and OD's. I bet all in all the total damage is going to run about 4-5K. Thank God for insurance!!!

Wow man. Sorry to hear.
I came down here to Virginia from upstate New York, on January 7th.
On January 8th, Day 2, I'm driving back to the apartments from Richmond International and I'm sitting behind a line of cars at a red light, when a woman slams into my rear bumper at about 40 mph. First accident I've ever been involved in, and I was just sitting there minding my business. :( I did see her coming and I stepped harder on my brake to try to save the guy in front of me, but i still bumped him a little bit.
(Some details about my truck: bought it this passed summer for $3500 - 1991 toyota pickup, manual 4WD extended cab SR5, power everything, sunroof, big tires, cruise control... the works.)

So her shtty insurance company lowballs the crap out of me and says my truck is totaled, but they can give me about $1100. My lowest estimate, out of 3, was $2500. I battled them for about a month and they finally cut me a check for $3247. so now i'm just gonna fix the truck myself and pocket about $2000 :)

so it ended up working out, but it wasn't a very nice "welcome to virginia"... and this state hasn't grown on me at all since then. no offense to any virginians that might be reading this, but the people here are... well... not so easy on the eyes. and they all freak out when it rains or snows.

one thing is nice though, when its 45 degrees at home, its 65 here. good thing i will be out of here by time its 110 in the summer.

anyways, ive never had anything significant stolen from me, cept a few hundred bucks out of my room once, but i hope you get back/replace whatever you can and it works out. good luck with the program. i'm enjoying ATP and i can't complain (too much)

cheers

Yea I've kind-of taken it with a grain of salt. At least I have good insurance. The worst part of it all is just the fact of all the things stollen, all of the books, which are really pretty worthless to thieves and probably got discarded into a dumpster somewhere. That and explaining to my 4 yr old daughter how there are some bad people out there who steal from others. She took it harder than anyone. Now I think she's scared that someone is going to steal all of her things.

Oh yea and the fact I had to drive back to Tulsa from Dallas with no tunes...LOL
