Internships, Flight Operations; Northwest Airlines

Northwest Airlines Flight Operations currently has a limited number of internships available at our Aerospace Training Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Flight Operations internship is designed for students pursuing a career as a commercial airline pilot. To qualify, students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program as a junior or senior, majoring in aviation or aeronautical science. In addition, students must earn college credit for their internship.

As a Flight Operations intern, students learn valuable, firsthand information about the operations of a major U.S. carrier. To learn more about the Flight Operations Internship, contact Career Services at your college. If your college has not previously participated in our program, your Internship Coordinator may contact us at fltops.hr@nwa.com. Please check our website in the future for updates on our Internship Program: www.nwa.com.

I have applied for this internship starting in January. I know quite a few people who did it and they absolutely loved it.

I work with a guy who interned at an airline and said it wasn't as good as he anticipated, most of what the airline had the interns do was file away Jepp charts.

I suspect that the quality of an interning position is at least 50% dependent upon the intern.

Well, until they trust you, what else do you think they are going to let you do? Sometimes, this is way of testing you and see what type of worker you are.

Most importantly, while you are on company property, great time to network!

I wish I could hire an intern!

Sort and delete spam, do my accounting, work on new advertisers and clean the cat box!

I was called by the Flight Safety department today and I am going to do this internship in the spring!

I'll be working with two air safety investigators a floor above my friend who'll be in the Flight Operations Quality Assurance Office.

I'll have jumpseat priveledges, attend groundschool for a bit, and fly the sims a few times in addition to the regular work throughout the spring.

Twenty people applied for fifteen positions.

As far as the chart revisions go, the man whom I talked to today said that the interns in the fleet department do a lot of that.
