I have been asked that question and couldn't find the answer in FAR's:
Scenario:
After Class D transition, transponder set, handoff to approach, which is intermittent. They call out the N-Number with some instructions, but unreadable/unsure if they got it.
Since in class E I thought the course would be to change to VFR, direct to previously stated airport, VFR, Radar services terminated.
What if the radio was lost later (after handoff)
What if the radio was lost within D , during transition?
Thanks!
