Interesting article on the changing regional landscape...

Re: Interesting article on the changing regional landscape..

Theres so many problems with Mesa you don't have to play this or the other, there is room enough for all of them.

Re: Interesting article on the changing regional landscape..

Did Abbey make the non-union statement about scope? Thought that was from the author of the article.

My comment about Abbey was that he, as KLB indicated, certainly indicated the "end" of an era, but he failed to indicate what the next era would be.

Heh. KLB didn't say that. I did. :D

Re: Interesting article on the changing regional landscape..

I didn't start this to be a regional bashing thread.

I, naively, expected people to read the article. I thought it was a pretty good "State of the Industry" analysis.

I forgot it's uber cool to bash airlines instead of stopping to take stock and see how the landscape is changing around you.

Fighting yesterday's wars will not get you ahead.

Unfortunatly the only thing that numbers highe,r than out of work pilots, is keyboard commandos out of work to do exactly that on the webboards daily. It's always this pilot group did this to me...blah blah blah. My wife said it best when she told me at least at the gate a jet engine quits whinning, unlike the guy driving it.

Re: Interesting article on the changing regional landscape..

Why even put "Connect" on there? Who are the 190s gonna connect to, themselves?

They were magnetic stickers they had on there till the last 717 was retired perhaps?

Re: Interesting article on the changing regional landscape..

Connect is the magic word that means you can pay your pilots half of what you otherwise would, of course!! ;)

Re: Interesting article on the changing regional landscape..

They were put on there when there were 717's still flying. I think not having it would have resulted in another grievance. Cheap way to avoid it from the company's standpoint.
