I've never seen an NDB/DME approach before.

Interesting note at the bottom of the profile view:

CAUTION: Successful go-around improbable if initiated beyond the MAP
 
Sounds like one up in Alaska. I think I saw that once upon a time. There's like mountains or a glacier off the departure end, hence the "successful go-around improbable."
 
A few of the Distant Early Warning stations have that warning due to their location. The field is usually located on a mountaintop side, with the runway at 7% or greater. Air Stations with these warnings include Earacksen AS, Cape Newenham AFS, Cape Romanzof AFS. There's restrictions as to what kind of aircraft can operate out of these stations as well as crew experience. Normally, you'll only see C-7/C-123/C-130 aircraft.
 
The NBD/DME gives it away as a military airport. I notice a lot of Marine air stations have NBD/DME approaches.

Not necessarily. Flagstaff, AZ has one.

The one in Sedona, AZ I think might have one too, or at least in one direction....I went up there on Thursday, that is an incredible approach I bet, I only got to see it from the ground but man!

C-7/C-123...hahahaha! Talk about a blast from the past! It'd be kinda cool to have some Caribou time in your logbook, tho.

Would definately be cool to have time in these birds. In an Air America-ish sort of way
