So here's my situation. I recently bought into a Cessna 150 partnership with 7 other member (I am the newest member), and in order for me to be added to the policy I had to do a pilot questionaire. I just passed my checkride on the 25th of last month, but previously I had started and stopped flight training a couple of times due to a lack of time and money (over the past 7 years, I finally restarted my training in FEB. and managed to finish it up pretty quickly) and as a result of that I have an unusually high amount of dual received (79.9 to be exact). Well the folks at the company (I won't name them in case they read these forums...you never know:insane
didn't seem to like that too much and were actually going to decline to approve me without giving me the opportunity to explain my situation, but the lead partner convinced them to allow me to explain my situation. In the E-Mail I gave a lengthy explanation as to why I have so much dual time logged, and I included some scans of my logbook that they requested to prove to them that the dates were spread out. This all just makes me wonder....How normal is it for an insurance agency to get concerned about how much dual you have? I am more than willing to do a checkout (even though I have a bunch of 150 time)to prove to them I won't kill anybody....
