Insurance and Background Checks

A month ago my student hit the planes wing tip on a building ( I wasn't in the plane). Since I'm a contractor, the school is making me go through my personal insurance.

When I apply to the airlines if I don't disclose it, can the airlines still find it via a background check?

Tell them to pound sand?

That is what I'm going to do. But I don't want any law suits against me.

I can't imagine how you could legally be liable in this situation, regardless of what documents they made you sign at hiring. Though there are some better legal minds on here that can probably chime in with more experience.

I would stop talking about this on the internet, (maybe even get the thread removed) and get ACTUAL legal advice.

Find an attorney in your jurisdiction and get actual legal advice. You can get a referral from your state bar association, and you can likely find the phone number on their website.
