Took my instrument checkride today. I passed.
I trained 141 at a local FBO. (american winds flight academy, akron ohio) we fly out of AKR.
Oral was a lot easier than I had expected. There was only one question that I didnt know the answer too.
The flight was in the middle of the day. It was turbulent and we had a lot of thermals. Holding altitude was messy.
The ILS into CAK was messy but within limits. He was mad that I was chasing the needle.
Then we did a approach into Akron Fulton (AKR). The localizer 25. He failed my heading indicator and my attitude indicator. It was the smoothest approach of the day.
Then i shot the missed into an intersection hold. then a VOR approach back indo medina co.
Overall Im just happy that I passed. I mad at myself because my performance went to [censored] because of the stress of being under evaluating (i got physicall Ill that morning because of it).
I did 100times better on my last lesson, but hey, it was within limits...
all in all, being rushed, feeling sick, with turbulent air, and lots of thermals/updrafts, I think i did pretty well.
Its off to commercial!!
Im going to try and find a saftey pilot that is IFR current and skilled so that I can get some more experiance without paying for an instructor.
later peeps
