Instrument Approaches at North Las Vegas Airport (KVGT)

Hello all,

I'm going to have a Proficiency Check in Las Vegas and I usually fly to Henderson during 135 flights and have never instructed in Vegas, so was hoping someone can help me out here.

l'll hopefully be using the ILS & GPS approach into runway 12L at VGT. The last time I had my check in Vegas, I was lucky to have the winds coming from the southeast, so that I was able to use the ILS 12L.

My question is if the winds were coming from the northwest and runway 30 was in use, will Nellis Approach & the Tower work with me and provide me a practice ILS approach to runway 12L and circle?

If they don't where else do you bring your students to practice ILS approaches?

Thanks!

Sort of? I was told that they either wont even give you the approaches or you'll have to break off of them so far out as to be pointless. Don't even ask about approaches to McCarran.

Vegas is the worst. :\

:yeahthat:

There's a nifty visual into North Vegas, but that doesn't count.
